NBA Recaps, Oct. 31: Ja Morant's Triple-Double Leads The Memphis Grizzlies Past Milwaukee Bucks
Morant recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in the Grizzlies' victory
Following two straight losses, the Memphis Grizzlies use a great performance from Ja Morant to get back into the win column.
Morant recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists to give the Grizzlies a large 122-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. It was Morant’s first triple-double since Feb. 28, 2023 and 12th of his career.
After scoring just two points on Wednesday, Santi Aldama had 19 while rookie Jaylen Wells chipped in with 16. Scotty Pippen scored 16 points off the bench while shooting 62.5%.
While Damian Lillard struggled with just nine points on 33.3% shooting, Giannis Antetokounmpo carried the Bucks with 37 points and 11 rebounds. Brook Lopez helped out with 12 points while Bobby Portis gave 11 off the bench. As a whole, the Bucks connected on just nine of 42 3-pointers, the worst shooting performance of the season.

OTHER NOTES:
-After outscoring the Dallas Mavericks 57-44 in the first half, the Houston Rockets spoil the Mavericks’ late comeback to take a 108-102 win.
Jalen Green led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds, giving him his first double-double of the season. To go along with 12 rebounds, Alperen Sengun had 17 points with 11 of them coming in the first half. After scoring just single-digits in each of his last two games, Tari Eason led the bench with 15.
After struggling in the first quarter with just six points on 37.5% shooting, Luka Doncic finished the game with 29 points while Kyrie Irving had 28 for Dallas. Following a seven-point performance on Tuesday, Klay Thompson scored 12 points but shot just 38.5% from the field and 22.2% from the 3-point line.

-The San Antonio Spurs keep the Utah Jazz winless as they easily take a 106-88 victory.
After scoring just six points on Wednesday, Victor Wembanyama chalked up 25 to go with nine rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and five blocks. Chris Paul had 19 points and 10 assists, his first double-double of the season. Keldon Johnson played 27 minutes off the bench and scored 13 points.
With Lauri Markkanen sidelined due to a back injury, Keyonte George turned in 15 points while rookie Kyle Filipowski had 12. Collin Sexton led all reserves with 16 points.

NEXT JAZZ GAME: Nov. 2 at Denver
-The Phoenix Suns come back from a 21-point deficit to hand the Los Angeles Clippers a 125-119 loss. With Bradley Beal sidelined due to an elbow injury, Devin Booker guided Phoenix with 40 points, his first 40-point game this season. Kevin Durant helped out with 18 points while Ryan Dunn had 16. Royce O’Neale led all reserves with 21 points.
As for the Clippers, James Harden recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. It marked his first triple-double of the season and 78th of his career. Norman Powell scored 23 points, 11 of them coming in the second quarter. Ivica Zubac contributed with 22 points.
